Another question

I think they're about the size of a Bantam? I saw a pic of one next to a Bantam on Google Images once, and they looked very similar in size.

Do happen to know inches? I want to get a cage and want to make sure it's tall enough.

Thanks

No, sorry. :( I looked it up just now and it appears there's two types; European, and North American, with the North American being the Bantam-sized one. Do you happen to know which one you have? And I'd imagine just a medium to large dog cage would be fine. Is that what you'll keep your Silkie in as a coop if you modify it or long-term? If it's a permanent coop/long-term, I'd say the bigger the better. :)

I have to keep mine in the house most of the time. So was looking at rabbit cages but wanted to make sure it is tall enough

I'm not sure of the exact size of a rabbit cage, but I know rabbit hutches seem to have fairly low ceilings. I'd just suggest the tallest and largest you can afford/fit, so your Silkie has plenty of room to move around throughout the day and doesn't bump it's little head. :p I'm sure someone else will be able to help you out more on this tomorrow - wish I could help you out more! :) I'm not familiar with Silkies, and I keep my chickens outside. (If I was allowed to, they'd definitely all be inside! :p:lau)
