What does it mean if a chick is "pasty" i seen this on another thread, but do not know what it means.., its been about 6 years since i last had chicks, but i was only about 10 then so i really dont know lots about baby chicks, well atleast not as much as i know about hens lol..:), if someone could answer this that would be great :D

It's where their poop is "pasted" on their butt. Hence the term "pasty butt". One of my chicks had it the day I brought her home. I took her in the bathroom, ran a little warm water in the sink, put her in it and took a soft rag and wet it and just gently wiped the poop away. Since then, she has been the friendliest chickie out of all of them. Hope this helps.

Oh WOW!! I'd love to go to Scotland! I have always wanted to visit Scotland and Ireland but I'm afraid of air traveling. Well...let's face it...I'm just scared of heights.

My motto is "If God wanted me to go there, He'd have given me wings." Guess I will just have to settle for pics. When you get a chance, post pics of your chickies. We love seeing them!!!

Thankyou! :) I got him 2 years ago when my friends parents didn't want him anymore and were going to get rid of him! So i saved him and took him home :)
