(another) ventilation question

this is how i got the idea of the vents. they’ll let the air out but they’ll block snow from getting in

If you've got a good roof overhang snow shouldn't get into the soffits.

If you don't have a good overhang you can make awnings or top-hinged covers for your vents:

These are really redneck, but you can make them prettier:

ive got a large overhang, but it needs to be cut back some because it’s unsupported polycarbonate.

i’ve gotta get outside and take some measurements to see if i’m going with the vents or if i’m better off closing the gaps with HC and then nailing up boards between the rafters and wind/rain breaks.
