My chick with the leg poking up in the air is doing ok, the one in my other thread. I made it a boot to hold the leg down and it's walking around and eating happily like the others.
I noticed last night a second chick isn't standing at all. It's floppy, like a little puddle of fluff. It's legs don't support it at all! It just lays there, legs straight out and wings straight out. When it's awake it holds its head up and looks around, pecks, etc., but it just doesn't move. It tries, but it can't stand. When it hatched I noticed it had abnormally long legs and large feet. I think that's the problem. What should I do? I've been trying to make sure it's not getting trampled, giving it some sugar water and setting it at the food to peck...
