ok so i just got the ants to leave my incubator alone and now the,ve targeted my brooder box!!! ive swept and mopped my room twice today and squished every ant ive seen and sprayed clorox and ant killer all over the place!!! they go in and eat the chick starter...what can i do? i have itty-bitty quail babys in the brooder box and im worried they will get on them and attack them???

If it's outside, it doesn't last long, but inside if you wipe a line of clove oil around anything you don't want ants to get into, they won't cross it. I put a stripe around my dog food bowls in the house, and all under my counter tops and inside the frames on my cupboards. Before the ants were on something by the thousands. Just a non toxic suggestion, but you have to like the smell of clove oil! It does wear off after a day or two, for us, but not the ants. I usually only have to redo it once a year or so, and if you miss even a hairline crack, they will find that crack!

its inside but i put a line of baby powder around it. the only problem now is that my room is filled with white powder:p but it does smell good though:D
