Anxious chicken

Hi,

first post! I recently bought 2 hens from the markets and have a bit of a problem with one. Their names are Trevor and Henny Penny, mans name for a hen but i think it suits him/her

Trev is super friendly, will jump on top of the spade when i dig up worms and follows me under the house all the time and wont get out from under my feet! If Henny Penny loses track of the Trevor in the backyard she seems to have a panic attack and squawks quite loudly until she finds her buddy. Trevor doesnt seem to care when she is making a racket so she doesnt come looking for her. Im not too worried about the noise but my neighbours might...This panicy hen is quite scared of us humans and will only ever come within 2m of me when im digging up worms, otherwise she keeps her distance.

Is there an easy way I can calm her down? I don't mind that she keep her distance but the noise has to stop. I was thinking the easy answer might be to get a 3rd hen, or maybe I stop letting them out of the chicken run (Trevor would be very displeased with that). Any help would be appreciated.

i would get a third hen. just to give her someone else. give her lots of treats and try feeding from your hands. she should warm up to you. how long have you had her?
