Coop is officially ready for our 10 ready to lay that are coming this Wednesday !!
Our run will be built on the weekend. Do u think they'll be ok in the coop for 3-4 days... wejust got a big dumping of snow so I thought they'd be ok inside fora bit

Looks good. May be just the photo but the top roost looks much too close to both the vent and the wall. Hopefully you have more vents much higher up that can't be seen. In cold climates good draft free ventilation is a must to allow the moisture out and help prevent frostbite.

Welcome! Exciting news with a new flock coming.

Looks like you've made them a nice coop. Many of us who live in cold climates like flat 2x4s for roosts to help them cover their feet to prevent frostbit toes. Plenty are also happy with branches but the diameter matters, their foot should be nearly flat as chickens don't really grip. Can't tell how wide yours are.

Enjoy the new birds!

Looks great! Welcome to BYC. The hens probably won't want to go out in the snow any way. Expect they may not lay consistently for a while after their move. Enjoy them!

were going to close that vent for winter...there are others in 2 other sides. I may have to adjust the roost and have just 2
