Please feel free to share your stories about your sitting hen or your running incubator! I'm currently on day fifteen (though it could be fourteen) of my hen and her clutch of several eggs. My hen is forty weeks old and is a Golden Comet named Edna (picture below). I am looking at a predicted hatch date of Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday at the latest for these eggs. I candled a few of her eggs last night (I dare not try to take them all out because she has so many situated perfectly under her) and saw a lot of big, fat babies dancing about. I'm so excited (and very, very impatient and nervous). What are you waiting for? Chickens? Guineas? Quails? Ducks? Peafowl? Incubator or hen? How long? Time to tell the world of your tales!

I'm just today putting Button quail eggs in the incubator (55 of them) and Serama eggs (12). Will candle in 5 days and hoping to see little embryos growing!

Oooh best of luck! I have about thirteen eggs my hen is sitting on, I believe. I've candled and saw some little gooies in them. I've always wanted quail, I have peacocks, guineas, and chickens. Are quail pretty easy?
