Any advice for skiddish ducks?

I used to have ducks when I was a child that would come to me when I called and let me handle them. I recently moved to where I could have ducks again and I went to the flea market and bought a pair to start with. I have had them for over a month and they still run at the sight of me or anyone else that approches them. It's been almost 30 years since the first time I had ducks. What should I do?

Take a deep breath, and make a comfy spot near the ducks where you can read or just relax. Spend time near them. Offer them treats. Talk and sing to them.

They may never be really cuddly, but they will probably warm up to you over time.
