Any embossers here? I think I screwed up my new Ranger pen

I got the set of 2 pens and tried them out last night. I was playing with them and I did a tiny collage and put some swirlies thingies on (in silver...mind you)...and then the brush tip pen got all hard by the time I picked it up again.

Is there any way to soften it? I tried to put it under some warm water but that just made it sticky feeling.

is this the pen that you put that glitter stuff on and then use the heat gun to *melt* the glitter into a shiney plastic?
