any guesses for gender....6.5 weeks

I thought by now I would know who is who but I still am not sure. I am pretty sure I know one is a roo but that is it out of my 14 chicks so far. They are under a red light so that might throw it off a little


1---d'uccle this is the one that screams boy

2---the other d'uccle

3----d'uccle MF

4-5---- other 2 MF d'uccles the one on the right is a week older

6----2 buff brahmas

I think #1-3 are boys. #1 for sure. I don't know about the others.

and then I don't know.

My porcelains are 3.5 weeks old and 3 of the 4 got pink combs this week. I also saw growth in their combs. My remaining girl still has me guessing. The boys have tiny pink wattles poking out.

My millies are also 3.5 and I think I have 2 boys and 2 girls. We named them Millie, Miley, Miles and Milo. Harder to tell on the millies. Combs on two are larger but yellow(ish). Combs on the two suspected girls are small and yellow. The suspected boys also have more brown feathers than black and the two suspected girls have more black than brown. Also the two boys are larger and the girls smaller. I will just have to wait and see. Only one of the millies is displaying roo behavior (Miles).

My one lil chick in pic 3 died tonight. So sad. He has been very listless for over a week and tried vitamins and sugar water but just quit eating... tonight he took a turn for the worse and was barely breathing and seemed it was suffering so my wonderful dh culled him for me. So sad he was my fave chick so sweet. It is my first loss and I feel just horrible!!!
