Any guesses on gender? I am new to this!

Hi. Glad I joined this! Great info. I am new to raising chicks! Here is my babes I picked up TSC. Scared they are all Roos. Crazy bunch! I think RIR & Plymouth rocks.

Won't be able to tell gender this soon. Does look like RIRs and Barred Plymouth Rocks.

Usually with barred rocks, I could tell the males from females at around five weeks.

I've never had RIRs

Not sure on the RIRs, but the BRs look like boys to me.

Thanks! I know it's a waiting game & I may be giving away roosters! I went to TSC so not sure where I should order from once I know what I have. Any suggestions?

If you don't mind ordering online, you could try My Pet Chicken(mypetchicken.com). I've ordered from there a lot in the past, never once got a rooster from them. That said, I haven't ordered chicks in several years, so I can't say personally if they're still as good.

i am back..........my chicks are 4 weeks old an no noticeable waddles and not real pink or red combs. When do they start turning red? Thanks. This is driving me nuts! But I am having fun!
