I have a month old turkey poult that I had moved into an outside brooder on the ground. Unfortunately due to high winds and heavy rain the roof of the brooder/brand new dog pen opened and exposed the birds inside. I lost 2 already, with 3 that were near death when I checked on them. I have them inside under a heat lamp and I’m turning them every few minutes to stimulate them and warm them evenly. 2 are starting to pick their heads up and move their legs, while one is gasping but is peeking up a bit. Any hope of actually saving them? I normally ride out storms with my birds but have family down visiting. I feel horrible for not catching this sooner.....

Sorry for your losses. Poults don't take wet chills well.

Yea, I’ve known to expect losses, realized that day 1 when one poult fell into the worlds smallest waterer, only had a small splash of water on it and it died within an hour. All while still under the heat lamp.... thank you for your sentiment, I really shouldn’t have even tried to save them, they just suffered worse because of it.
