I know I need to take a picture but my Red Star Olivia is at the bottom of the pecking order, she's skinny & her feathers are looking a wreck-I hope she molts this fall.
Anyway, when she puts her head down to eat, the feathers at the base of her neck that used to be so long & pointy just sort of end now & it looks like her head is a little helmet that can just fall off( I know it can't & she's healthy) none of my other girls have this going on, all of them have beautiful long feathers there that overlap the feathers on their backs.
Has anyone seen this on their birds?
