Any reason not to feed your chickens wild bird seed mixture instead of scratch ?

I'm considering using some wild bird seed mixture instead of chicken scratch to supplement their layer feed as well as free ranging. Any reason not to?

You can give them a handful as treet, why not, but they need the layer feed as a main food, because they ate laying hens, and need it to stay healthy... Otherwise you're good to go....
