I had someone say to me the other day at a poultry farm when I was looking at some white leghorns:
Person: I wouldn't buy any of those chickens!
Me: why not? :/
Person: well apart from the fact that they are obviously seriously ill
Me : how do you know that?
Person: just look at there combs, they flop over! I am not buying chickens with bad heart problems.
And then she left. I cannot believe some people
. Some people think they know so much about poultry just because there comb is floppy does not mean heart problems! Especially as white leghorns naturally have floppy combs.
Has anyone heard of any other ridiculous comments about poultry. I would love to hear them
