The electric fence pasture is now bare. My 11 hens have cleared the grass. I’m going to move the fence this weekend and give them a new area, I dont guess there are any pasture seeds that will germinate in the winter in Middle Tennessee?

Maybe you can find the equivalent to what we do up here in the north for planting over winter. We mix rye into the grass seed appropriate for the area, like full sun, partial shade, etc., then spread it out, rake it in, cover with straw, and water it. You could keep watering it but we can't for long as then it freezes. In spring, the rye comes up first and grows fast, allowing the grass to come behind it. By the time the rye dies out, the grass is up well.
