Any suggestions on hen house size for 12 hens?

We want to build a moveable hen house for 12 red sex link hens. What would be the right dimensions for that many hens and should the nest boxes go on the inside or outside?

You will want about 48 square feet to house 12 sex links. 6 x 8 would work well. I'm not sure what your weather is like in East Texas but you can probably get by with nests inside or out as long as you have good ventilation inside. If you decide to put them inside, elevate them off the floor to conserve floor space and to help keep them clean. Good luck!

Depends...if it's moveable, and therefore you want to reduce weight, you might make it shorter, and therefore probably easier to have external access to nest boxes. But I agree that 6 x 8 would be a good size. Will your birds be free ranging, or are you doing a run as well???
