I like making home made wine. The kits are cool , but I like making it from fresh fruit. Apple is my favorite, or strawberry, or blueberry...... I'll get back to you.....

I would like to try making wine this year. I love to drink it and we have plenty of grapes and blackberries. Last year I made juice out of the surplus grapes, made lots of blackberry jam and syrup.
So I'd love to hear how to make my own wine using our fruit. We also have lots of peaches. Could those be made into wine also?

Well, we'll have to keep this post going, so that when the fruit is ripe, we can get that wine going.
I used to work at a winery, so I know how it's made at a larger scale.
I'm looking forward to making it a bucket or two at a time.
I'm counting on you all to show me how.

We have plenty of work on our place and no money to pay anyone, but we allways share our harvest, ...
So come on over, help us make the wine and you can help us drink it!

getting tipsy, just thinking about those sweet smelling and juicy peaches becoming wine

DH made wild elderberry wine 2 years ago, it was to die for! He would have made it last year but the county ditched the riad edges and took out my supply!

DH makes way too much every year, mostly muscadine in fifty gallon drums, with some oithers on the side. My kitchen is full of fermenters, carboys and 15 and 50 gallon drums. (and he complains about my chickens in the office!)
