Anybody have blue grizzle homers?

I have six lovely blue grizzle homers and was wondering if anybody else had them. They're my decided favorite color of pigeon!

Nope but I do have Chinese owl blue

grizzles and they are for sure one of my favorite colors!

Nice! I would like to get owls in the near future! I've never seen a blue grizzle owl before!

Beautiful! I like how Chinese owls have short, but not too short of beaks. How well do they fly? Do you free fly yours?

I have some that look more like your homers as well....I have free flown mine...but have stopped in the last month or so because of a hawk problem. They fly pretty well...I had a black C. owl who kept up with his mate pretty well who was a roller...but the are not a flying breed nor do they fly as well.

How bad is your hawk problem? I too have stopped free flying mine recently and have only been letting them fly for about an hour under my supervision. The hawks have taken upwards of 15 of my birds!

He has only gotten two of mine since I've lived here (around 3 years) However my flock at this time is not big....And often the little butt will fly in and watch me when I'm feeding my birds...So I don't risk letting them out at this time.

Same here! I have my dad get out the shot gun and fire some warning shots when he gets too close. I've had a couple close calls with him almost getting birds! Two of them have had the back of their necks torn open, both survived, and a few others have had their tail feathers torn out! I'm planning on getting an owl statue to deter owls from going near the loft, but nothing I do deters the hawk!
