I have a guinea keet she is now 4 weeks old who has a slipped tendon and basically no use of her right leg. She hops around and eats and drinks and I just love her so much. Just wondering if anybody has any kind of poultry, waterfowl or game birds who have some kind of leg deformity, wondering if they seem to have a good quality of life? I guess I’m just looking for a glimmer of hope that my guinea Dottie maybe ok and able to live with this.

From my understanding that is a painful condition. I he seen others keeping birds with deformities, I personally don't if they are too severe. Quality of life is important too, and most critters can't tell us how much pain they are in so you will need to guess at that.

I used to have a hen with what I call a floaty leg. She was a rescue, not sure what happened to the leg, but it would drift up and stick out behind her when she stood still. She wouldn’t use that leg much, but it didn’t seem like it was in pain.
She had a great life, loved Dubai roachs, and spilling her food bowl.
I say as long as they aren’t hurting or disabled enough they can’t do anything, leave it be! If possible take to an avian vet to make sure nothing else is wrong.
