Anybody know if this is a problem?

I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before? I collect eggs every day for last couple yrs and have never seen an egg like this.

Have you ever had any birds with respiratory issues? I've read this can happen if your flock has had a strain of IBV, I believe. I don't know of any issues but I have 2 birds that lay eggs with a wrinkle or two on the very end. Have you cracked the egg open to make sure the contents look OK?

No I haven't actually, it's still sitting on the counter. I wasn't really sure what to do with it. Lol. I'm gonna check out the website shared by picklestheduck very shortly tho! 😊

If this is the only time you've seen this I would not worry at all. The egg making process is pretty complicated and I think we are all entitled to an occasional oops. If it becomes a regular thing then you have a problem.
