Anyone Brew beer???

I just mentioned home brewing and wine to my DH the other day. I'll have to show him this thread. I think it is something he and I would both enjoy.

I have an ebook with home made wine recipes and home brewed beer recipes. If anyone would like these, email me and let me know and I'll forward to you via email

it IS illegal in ANY amount even if for personal use and it carries a 5 year sentance if caught. usually they charge for the tax evasion and money laundering since it is a higher penalties of up to 15 years for the money laundering alone. just because the don't crack down on it so much anymore doesn't mean the federal law doesn't still stand because if made wrong it creates a harful product known as methonal. methonal can cause blindness, death and many other things. "Permits and licenses are required so that the government can make sure the alcohol being produced is safe. Plus, the Feds want to get their tax money. " homebrewed beer and wine making were legalized in 1970's but not distilling alcohol. ATFE is who controls it now.

Not true. Take a look. Heck, in Missouri you can make up to 200 gallons a year without a permit.

It's the same in Michigan.... and if you want to get a permit for making ... cough cough ... fuel alcohol then you can make up to 10,000 gallons before you have to worry bout taxation
