Anyone dye any gamebird eggs?

Well, even though our kids are too young to dye eggs, I was still thinking about dying some anyways, for poops and giggles. I'm really thinking hard about the new quail eggs... Lol. They'd probably be very interesting, but they're very fresh, so I wonder about peeling them...

Too bad I don't have any coturnix eggs yet. Dark button eggs probably don't dye well. We just did 4 dozen chicken eggs.

That's awesome! Mine didn't turn out so well. I could only find red dye, and my speckles scratched off as I was trying to pull the eggs out of the cup, so I just rubbed them the rest of the way off and redyed them solid red.

ETA: At first hubby was upset when he realised that I hardboiled the quail eggs. Coming from the man that gets upset when I put eggs into the incubator, he was excited, thinking that they had already gone into the bator, lol. Once he realised that they weren't already set, then he was excited that Grem will have easter eggs just his size, lol.

In the past, we would boil quail eggs and peel them, then dye half red others green for Christmas.(used food coloring)
