Yes we have them swarming here two. We dropped a tree two days ago and they seemed to show up at that time. The only ones enjoying them are the birds!!!!!! They are everywhere!!!
Hmmm, I don't think the people out here know about the nasty, biting stinky lady bugs. Probably can sell them anyhow. $$$$$
I have rarely seen yellow and orange lady bugs. They probably don't like the damp weather. I did once see the red ones swarm indoors, must a been a basketball size swarm. I felt sorry for them.
Imp-Send some cicadas too, totally fascinating to listen to.

Would you take the wolf spiders that insist on coming not only into my house, but more specificaly, into my bedroom while I am trying to sleep, and make me scream and run for the biggest, heaviest object I can find?

We have wolf spiders here. Big ones too. The first time I saw one inside It had crawled up the back of the chair I was sitting on. I kept seeing out of the corner of my eye something dark on my shoulder. I finally looked
, dropped down off the ceiling and changed my pants.
I caught it and called an exterminator to come get the tarantula.
A few years later I had one take up residence in my silverware drawer. Shut the drawer and lived without silverware for about 4 months.
I never (well rarely) see spiders in the this house. People say it's cause I have cats. So go ahead and send them to me, it'll save on catfood.
Imp- I have since made peace with spiders- had to or never go out in the yard.
I recently moved back to Wisconsin after twenty years, having lived in the southwest for most of those years and had never seen such a thing here before. After doing a little research I found that they took hold in Louisiana in 1988 and have been spreading northward and across the midwest ever since. With the warm weather here this past week we have lady beetles, box elders, and darkling beetles everywhere.

We have those spiders here as well. I can handle almost all of what I encounter here on a daily basis but spiders are not one of them. I get so grossed out by them.
I was bit by one years ago and had to get on some major antibiotics due to the bite getting infected. Ever since I am terrified of getting bit again.
Got em here to. Was going to hang out laundry on Monday but it looked like it was snowing! The sliding patio door was so full I got the shop vac. Now if our wolf spiders would take care of the beetles I wouldn't mind the spiders so much!

Birds won't touch them at least not at our house. I assumed it was beacuse they have that smell defense but maybe we have the wrong kind of birds.
