I have three pullets from 6-8 weeks old, and two chicks that are about 3-4 weeks old. The chicks are incredibly sweet and run up to me to take them out of the brooder so they can explore (or hide against me if it's cold like it has been lately). In any case, the other day it was miserable out, so everyone's in the garage and I sit down next to my chicken tractor with the pullets in it and the chicks on my lap. Of course all three pullets are noodle-necking for all they're worth when they see tiny things peeping on my lap, but the Black Australorp in particular (who likes me the least) was fascinated. She just STARED, and stared, and then would go "Bok?" which I find hysterical because she's still finding her adult voice. Most of the time she still peeps, but those chicks made her try clucking for some reason. ;) Anyone else see behavior like this?
