Anyone ever heard of this?

I have a hen who had some sort of health issue about 4 months ago where she couldn't walk at all. We hand fed and watered her for 2 weeks until she started getting up on her legs and standing, then back to walking. Now she comes to the front of the house and hangs by the front door. If we do not carry her out to the chicken house in the evening, she would sit there all night. We literally have to tuck her in every evening. Any thoughts? Obviously they are free range in the day time.
