Anyone ever re-seal thier older hova bator ?

If so, how'd ya do it. My temps fluctuate so bad i'm blamin the age o' the bator and a weak seal twixt the two halves.
 
Most times when you see extreme temperature fluctuations it is a bad wafer in the thermostat or your power is not clean. Try a surge protector. That one item has resolved the issue for many.
 
I would get a new wafer too. If it is more than a year old it might be going wonky. A new one is about $6.
 
I would try the waffer to. I have the top to my hovabator the bottom broke. It is just setting loosely on a foam box I got from a pet store and it is holding temp and hum. very well.
