So I'm in chicago currently and i ran out of duck food. So i went to a feed store right outside the city (in an urdban area, which is weird). They luckily sell the feed/scratch by the pound so i only had to buy what i needed.

I was talking to the very nice man who runs the store about how my ducks are spoiled and are loved pets. He told me about this supplemental feed called Calf Manna. He told me to sprinkle a little on their food everyday, about 1%. I only bought a small bag's worth to see if they like it, and oh boy! they love it. Aparently it tastes really good to them. I've been using it as a treat or sometimes in the tub. I only give them 10 pellets each a day, so it's lasting a long time. It says it's good for pigs, goats, cattle, horses, rabbits, and poultry.

Does anyone else use calf manna?

It will fatten a horse up in no time flat.

I love it for horses and calves but have never fed it to my Chickens. I just might give it a try. I have a few youngsters in the garage right now and last night I was too cold to go out side for more feed so I gave them some oatmeal and creamed corn. Boy did they love it!

I started tossing a small handful of Equipride to my girls after I was told it was great for egglayers. My sis-in-laws family owns the company so that is how I found out about it.
