anyone have advise/opionions/stories about sumatras?

Ok you will have to look at bottom of feet to see the color on you black chicken. We will need close head shot of each and a full body shot with out other chickens. these will also have to be close so we can SEE them so make sure the chickens show up in the right light to see details.

What type of comb does you black chicken have? It can not be seen in the pics.

In your pick I see a silky mix and a black chicken. Canot see all the body of the black one.

I was posting photos for the OP to look at & compare to their own mystery birds.

The bottoms of my Sumatra's feet are bright yellow. Some of the hatchery sumatras I've seen have pink bottoms. My Sumtras have pea combs. I'm at work right now and do not have any better pics of young sumatras handy.

The white chicken you called a "silkie cross" is actually a white houdan bantam pullet.
 
Ah my bad did not read it write. I was wondering on that when I wrote silky I was thinking it might be something else.
