Anyone have good pics of mature Cuckoo Marans roosters?

really? This guy is way lighter than everyone else and is also huger with a redder comb and bigger wattles and tries to spar with the others when he can. I've posted pics before and everyone seems to think he's a roo. If he is a hen, I would be thrilled, actually. I've been fearing that I have all boys. I think I have at most 2 girls. I have six and they're all straight-run from McMurray. I am totally new to chickens and have been spending the last 5 weeks trying to figure out the sexes. I'll post some pics of him next to one that I'm hoping is a girl.

OK, in this one, I think they're all boys except the one in the back left. "She's" much darker than the others and her comb is smaller and yellow and no wattle growth to note yet. JB (the chick from my above pics) is on the right in this pic.

This one is blurry but you can see the color difference. The one on the top is JB (roo?) and the bottom one is one i think is a pullet (darker one).

Here's the two of them again... you can see the color difference in the feathers and the combs.

Here is JB all by "him"self:

And here is one I think is a girl all by herself:

So, am I wrong about all this? I'm totally new to chickens and it's been so hard to figure these guys out because I don't have any that are really dark or really light.

I appreciate the feedback!

What a fantastic answer! Hey Chrunchie!

Lisa, I think you've got it correct. The Marans roos develop their combs and waddles pretty early on, and they will be bigger and redder than their female counterparts. Sometimes, you might have a late developer. This could be the case with the chick in question, but she seems girlish at this point. Perhaps someone else will be a better judge than myself on this.

Good luck!

Lisa, JB is a rooster, for sure...sometimes the color difference is not so pronounced between males and females and can be tricky to tell. But I think you've got it right. If not his color, his comb/wattles are a dead giveaway. Your other one looks like a girl, though sometimes a late bloomer will trick you. But it looks to me like you've guessed it right.

To the previous poster who asked what my lines of Cuckoos were (I think they were asking me

) I've got Kelly Cratty line birds and birds directly from Bill Braden.
