I've just discovered guineas and I want some

Next Spring, dh has agreed to allow me to get additional chickens (Currently have 10 standards, 5 banty babies). I am "thinking" about ordering several guineas and say they are peanut packers (yes, I know...terrible

) But I have read limited info and I'm not sure if they are noisy ( live in the city, so neighbors are close, 3/4 acre)? Also, do they lay well and could I sell their eggs? Have you ever ordered them with a group of chickens and how was the outcome? Any info will be greatly appreciated!

TIA

guineas are extremely noisy and loud! Great watch dogs because they will let you know if anything is out of place. Not good for close neighbors if they like it quiet. lol

I would also like to have some, too. They are so interesting-looking & would eat all my ticks. But I have closer neighbors, too, & they are just too loud. I am afraid I would get "reported" and loose all my beautiful chickens & ducks then possibly.

Thanks for all of the info

Yeah, I don't think they would be well received with my neighbors. We have lived here for 10yrs and I don't want to get on my neighbors' bad side

Off I go to search for another breed of chicken
