Just wanted a hatching buddy. I have 14 Coturnix Quail eggs due to hatch on September 3rd , 3 Blue Slate Turkey eggs due to hatch on the 13th of september and 13 Cuckoo Maran eggs due to hatch on September 7th.

Me!

My Black Orp. hen, Raven, is sitting on some of my BBS Orpington eggs and they are due to hatch on Sept. 6th, Labor Day weekend! Kind of appropriate, don't ya think?!?!

Hopefully. I've had some problems with this broody switching which nest she wants to sit on half way through, but as long as I keep the other one free of eggs she should stay faithful. Hopefully the 5th we will have some new babies

If i didnt kill my eggs last night I should hatch on or around the 7th of Sept. A 106 degree spike might speed that up a day or terminate them totally. Ill let ya know in a few days when i candle them. I hope my polish are good. Total of 40 (+1) eggs fat side up!!!

I have 18 chicken eggs to hatch on the 3rd and around 100 butler/georgia giant quaill to hatch 4th/5th.

I have Cochins due September 5th or 6th (I set them very late at night). I candled for the first time early this morning - out of 9 I had:
- 4 definately developing
- 2 questionable - probably just laggers
- 3 bad (two had ruptured air cells, and one had a ruptured yolk - all due to shipping, I'm sure, despite the fact that they were impeccably packaged)

Good luck to everyone else expecting hatches around the same time!

Good Luck everyone with the hatches! Since today is day 3 on my Quail eggs im going to wait until 8 and then candle them and i will update the post. My Cuckoo Marans i cant candle till day 10 since the shell is so dark
