I am in Jacksonville AR, looking for a few Black Penedesenca chicks, or hatching eggs next spring.
Looking forward to the Poultry Party in Feb
Thanks

There are a couple Penedesenca breeders in Arkansas but I don't think any have Blacks. One is in Morrow and one in Clinton.
A couple years ago there was a guy in Joplin, MO that had a couple pullets and a cockerel but I haven't heard from him in a while.
I'm probably the closest one with Blacks to Arkansas and I'm in St. Louis, MO.

Thanks for the response. If I get near St Louis, I will check with you. Do you mail chicks? They sound like one of the breads that would do well for our place, I would like to let them free range as much as they can safely. If I don't get the Black ones next spring, I may try the Partrige or Crele, but I think the Blacks are all I need.

Dear Hangtown Farm:
Thanks for the response,
I do have a good incubator, but I read that BP eggs don't have a good hatch rate after shipping. I hope to find some chicks to start with, maybe someone will have some near Arkansas.

I'll ship chicks after I'm NPIP but not yet. Hopefully later in the spring.
Me too I just hatched my first batch so I know fertility is good, second batch will hatch around march 1st. Im not sure about the purity of the first batch since I raised them with a pair of blue ameraucanas so they might be crosses. Hmm do you think the crosses will lay olive colored eggs.

March 1 is the same day as the Poultry Party in Rison, but If you will be at Beebe March 1, I will be there to meet you.
Hope you have a few dozen BP eggs then. My email address is on my page.
