Anyone know if you can have ducks in Pinellas County FL (mid-county)

I am VERY interested in getting ducks. Runners in particular. I have not been able to find out if you can keep ducks in Pinellas county. I live in Unincorporated Pinellas. Any info would be great. Thanks

By the way years ago there was 100's of feral Muscovy Ducks around those little lakes or rather large ponds in St Pete, cars stopped when mommy duck crossed streets with their babies.

I do not know how the Muscovy situation looks down there after irresponsible and un accountable Nazis from Florida Gov declared war on Muscovy ducks trying to exterminate those quiet, harmless, and very useful species (Muscovy ducks eat zillions of mosquitos, roaches and other bugs).

There are almost NO Muscovy anymore. I grew up down here and moved back about 10 years ago and since then they are seen less and less. I heard about the state's "management" of them, basically destroy the eggs. In my area there are a total of 3 muscovy that I see on a regular basis. One is an obvious mule (mallard/muscovy cross that are infertile). Sad

First, a correction. The five chicken rule in St.Pete is a myth. I was told that by the pet store clerks I got my first three chics from, and that is actually the rule for Tampa. You can have as many as you want in St.Pete, but no roosters, and the coop must be 100 feet from other homes unless you get signed permission from the ocupants.
HOWEVER - chickens (and this probably applies to ducks, too) are apparently still not allowed in unincoorporated Pinellas, unless they finally got around to voting on the issue. About a month ago someone else on here wrote that the council had postponed the vote, and they were very disapointed.
I am having a chicken swap on Novemeber 6th, with part of the idea being to invite some of the lawmakers to come and see how quite and non-smelly they are. I have PM'd the original person interested in this to see if they could help get the word out, as they know the names of who to contact. I just think it depends where in unincorporated Pinellas you live. I know people have ducks and peacocks off of East Lake. In Pasco, the rule is no chickens in R-1 unincorporated Pasco and the zoning people know about my duck (a long story). I think it depends on the zoning, residential or agricultural. If you look up your address on the property appraiser website it will tell you your zoning.

We have lots of Scovies up here in the ponds, just saw a beautiful black and white female with her ducklings the other day.
