That's buddah for sure. My Laos/Cambodian friends almost all wear one around their neck. Most of them have an "ivory" or other stone buddah in that exact same setting. Most of them had it gifted to them by grandparents before they got to the US.

probably a buddha, but a japanese/laos/cambodian kind, because he is skinny, not fat like the chinese and thai buddha. also might be thai goddess because of folded hands
