You have a really good Impeyan breeder up in your neck of the woods that supplies quite a few to the lower 48 out of imported bloodlines. I'll see if I can track him down. If not, watch eggbid this fall, usually about the 1st of September it starts picking up and shipping opens back up. Hit and miss on the other two. I am sold out on all three species already. Peacock pheasant are especially hard to track down and will cost you.

That would be great if you could find the guy up here.I bought my Impeyans about ten or so years ago from a guy up in Fairbanks but cant remeber his name or anything. They died this spring,They were really nice birds very mellow.

How much are Peacock Pheasants?

How much should I expect to pay for the others?

I rember when I bought my impeyans they were 250.00 a pair for breeders but then I saw them all over the next year for 150.00 I guess alot of people started breeding them.

thanks
Jason

Prices were much higher than that this spring. Of course I am talking breeders and not poults. I saw Peacocks at 600 a pair and up. Impeyans were probably averageing about 400 and Temminks about the same. Males less than females of course. Cabots were about 1500. I probably could have gotten a lot more out of my peacocks by price gouging, but I try to stay fair market. There are some folks out there that would pay a lot though.

Thats the way it goes when you want them there expensive but when you got them there cheap

I found the guy up here who I go the impeyans form years ago.I emailed him just a little bit ago.

Now I just have to track down a pair of Timmincks.

It used to be that there was tons of breeders of Ornamental pheasants online but I cant seem to find hardley any and theres no real central source for them.
Gbwf had a really good message board years ago but the one they have now seems unused hardley.Alot of people proabally just use craigslist and sell locally I guess.

The last big surge in feed prices sent many folks scattering as it almost did myself. I love the birds too much though. Eggbid is probably the best place but its going to be pretty slow right now as shipping is closed, and most folks aren't listing their hatch yet.
