Anyone know the breed?

I got the pale green egg from someone not knowing if it was fertile, it was but I have no idea what breed, anyone know? Thanks.

There are numerous breeds that can have a duckling that color and pattern. You will have to wait for it to grow and develop before you know.

Call ducks can lay greenish colored eggs so that's what I'm guessing. Is he the only one? If so, you'll need to get him a friend or two.

Mallards, Indian runners, and... lay greenish eggs too....

Runners have a very specific body type so those can be ruled out. Mallards only have a single eye stripe whilst OPs duck has a double. A mix is also possible.

True enough. A runner duckling can easily be recognized the second they are up and moving. True on the stripe too. I have never had Roeun and do not know the egg's color. Are there other breeds that come in the mallard colors and pattern? And the mix, yes. I have, raise, call ducks; the one in the picture appears too large, but you may be right.

OP-can you post another side view of your duckling's head? And of it standing; if possible. I have Ancona ducklings that just hatched this morning in the incubator. As they got stronger, I gave them to a brooding turkey to raise as her poults were sold yesterday. So cute, them peeking out from under the turkey.

Rouen ducks can lay blue/green tinted eggs so he could be one of that.

Not a runner. Not upright enough fpr a runner. The bill looks too long to be a call duckling. To small for a rouen. I'd say it is a mallard. But why would you not want a runner? The clowns of the duck world!
