Anyone know what she is?

Hello,

Hatched some sizzle and silkie eggs about 9 weeks ago and this little lady popped out.

Thought she might be a sizzle but now I definitely know she isn't. Was wondering if someone might know the breed. For a time was thinking I got a cochin, but with the fluff on her head, I'm thinking that she isn't that either. Took her pic while she was free ranging in the asparagus garden.

Frontal view, if you know what she is, please let me know.

Thanks,

Chickens that get 2 copies of the frizzle gene have very brittle fragile feathers and sometimes even worse health problems. So most breeders of frizzle (or sizzle in this case) feathered chickens breed smooth feathered to frizzle feathered to avoid that. However, half the chickens that hatch from them will not be frizzled. You have a smooth feathered sizzle. She would be a great match for a sizzle rooster. :)

x2. If you've got frizzled Sizzles, she is there smooth counterpart. Most people jump the gun and rehome their smooths. Big mistake, theyre important for breeding frizzles, so you don't get a double dose of the frizzle gene :)

Wow, Thanks for the info.

Also I don't plan to rehouse her, I was planning on finding her a mate, but didn't know what to look for.

Now I know so I'll be adding a sizzle to the flock.

She is really adorable with her head of fluff, and I love to walk her and the silkies in the morning on the farm.

She and the silkies are basically eye candy for me on my morning walk.

Also thanks for all those who replied and educated me on smooth frizzles.
