I wanted to know, because we have had 3 close strikes, (took out a neighbors tree-- another hit close enough to take out my underground low wattage lights, we thought it hit the house- and another hit next to another neighbor. Wondering if there is another close strike , if it could take out my geese and ducks in their aviary (converted metal carport)...
How vulnerable are ducks and geese on the ground to lightening?

unless they are in an open field, I wouldn't think they are that vulnerable...
but did you say they are in a metal structure? that might make me a little nervous depending on how/if the building is grounded.
has the building been hit by lightning ever before?
I probably wouldn't worry too much, but I am sure other people have more opinions on this!!!
