Anyone put toys in the coop? Is it a good idea?

We hang fresh cabbage heads when we have them for them to play with.....I'd be careful what you put in there that it doesn't become an object "of contention" and they all fight over each other for the toys....
Have a blessed day.

Honestly I have not heard or seen of anything besides cabbage heads, and suet holders. Try putting a few parrot toys in and report back to us. I have no idea if they would go for these.

So then there is no problem goin through the bird section at the grocery store and picking them up a pre-formed seed bell or something eh?

My Chickens play with seedBells hanging in the run.....
so I dont see a problem with them in the coop.

I used to have guineas in a coop where i keep my black giants now, i had a full lenght mirrror mounted on the wall close to the floor long ways. you should see how the chicks stand and look at their new friends, they seem to love it.

Hey thanks Pandora, I'll have to give it a shot. I tried a suet feeder suspended and had a woodpecker suet in there and after a few weeks they still hadn't gone for it. I put spinach and dandelion weeds in it after taking that suet out and they tore it up. That might have been a creatures of habit thing and it was in a kinda dark corner of the run.
