Anyone seen an egg like this ?

This came from my neighbors house. I’ve Never seen an egg like it before. Not sure what it means

Generally such an egg indicates problems in the reproductive tract. It may be a one time deal or indication of a more significant problem.

I recently had a giant egg like that. Double yolker. It wasn't edible, I boiled the egg to see the inside was a dark gray color. It came from one of my pullets. It was a one off, haven't seen any like that since.

One of my hens laid an egg like this 3 weeks ago, but it was not a hard shell, reminded me of a water balloon. Mine get layer feed but they stopped laying in Dec. I noticed a few are starting to lay again, as the days are gradually getting longer. I gave them some calcium supplement to peck at. So far so good, no more soft eggs.

Over the summer I got a few weird eggs, like they had a design imprinted on the shell...weird! After that, eggs were normal again.
