Also, might be worth a shot to call local feed stores and just ask if they know anyone.

Craigslist can be great but be careful, it is also a magnet for scammers and weirdos.

We are on C.L all the time buying and selling items. I would suggest wording the title 4h cochin wanted or something similar. Most do not flag ads regarding anything associated with 4H. Post another in Farm and Garden. I know technically you are only supposed to post something in the wanted forum but I think it's ridiculous that you can post something in the forum that it pertains to, wanted or not. Yes there are a bunch of C.L trolls that have nothing better to do with their time than to flag ads. However it does take 7+ different people to actually flag an ad. There are people who set up networks just to go around and flag an ad. It's pathetic.
You can also try posting an ad on Hoobly or Kiiji. Where are you located? Someone on BYC has to live close enough for you to get a cochin. Oh there is one other, I think it's called agriseek or something similar. Good luck!

I been flagged many times from competing people. I had my wii on there with LOTS of extras and got flagged 4 times before someone took it. Also we have dogs that we been trying to get homes for but got flagged. We have a small adoption fee while other people sell their dogs for $200+. Our adoption fee is $75. I never been flagged in the farm and garden section though?

Try calling your local extension office they often have a list of people who have chickens and other livestock.
