So I was given 5 chicks that were hatched in a Kindergarten classroom. I know one of them is an EE, hatched from a blue egg, and I am pretty sure one is a white leghorn, hatched from a white egg. The other 3 I have no clue. They are 3 and a half weeks old.
Here is chick #1: hatched from brown egg

The next batch of chicks are 9 weeks old, they are all easter eggers. Wondering about the sex of a few of them.....

Thank you sooo much for looking and for any and all input you might have! I am new to the chicken thing and they are so intriguing, I am constantly changing my mind and guessing if they are boys or girls!

That is what I was afraid of! My 4 year old hand picked "her" and came up with the name. Guess we will be keeping him around!

#1 is a Barred Rock.

#2 does look like an EE. I think you are right

#3 could be a Black Australorp. It looks a lot like ours did as chicks.

#4 looks like my black sex link did as a chick.

#5 possibly a white leghorn??

I will leave the EE sexing to others who are more experienced with this breed. I am still crossing my fingers that my own EE is a female--waiting for a crow or an egg! I do think that Fatima & Jerri look like females, but the other 2 I am not so sure about.

barred rock or black sexlink, rooster..

EE,

Australorp maybe.. it's so hard to tell as chicks,

Maybe a black sexlink pullet,

White leghorn Cockerel,

EE cockerel, Rest of them are pullets.

ETA: after looking closer, camilla maybe a cockerel/

# 1 looks like a Barred Rock to me, and #3 looks kinda like and Australorp. BUT, I am new at the chick breed guessing game, so I wouldn't bet on my answers when there are others on here with years more experience. Hopefully some of them will chime in, and Cinderella does look like a roo to me as well. Some of my EE's are a few weeks older and still don't have even a hint of a comb or wattles yet - they were all supposed to be pullets.

Here is what I *think*... not nearly as experienced as some of the people here

1. Barred Rock roo
2. EE - leaning towards pullet
3. black australorp pullet
4. black sex link???? not sure on that one
5. leghorn?
6. roo
7. pullet
8. can't really tell but leaning towards pullet

i hope that helps a little bit!

I love this guessing game.. this one wasn't all that easy! This is just my guess. I'm no expert..

#1 Barred Rock - Roo
#2 EE - Pullet
#3 Australorp? Pullet
#4 EE X - (pea comb & green legs)
#5 Leghorn Pullet?
#6 - Cinderella - ROO
#7 - Camilla? no pic?
#8 - Lil Jerry - Pullet
#9 Fatima - looks roo.. can't tell 100%
#10 Calliope - Pullet

I hope you post results when they get bigger.. it's always fun to see.
