I thought I'd ask and see if I'm the only one who keeps quail in an apartment setting. I don't have many, but I am in an... unusual setting apparently

Not unusual. People specifically get quail becausevyou CAN keep them where usually you could not keep chickens. My place is under 500 square feetI thought I'd ask and see if I'm the only one who keeps quail in an apartment setting. I don't have many, but I am in an... unusual setting apparently![]()
I'd like to add I originally wanted 1 maybe 2I build my own PVC cages and I do button quail I have 1 coturnix male that I let roam as the houses dog quail lol recently hatched him a mate that hopefully will be female otherwise it's gonna get sold but I have 5 buttons ATM and the coturnix and baby coturnix and a baby button I'm letting the mom raise for a mate for the last male so 6 buttons 2 coturnix in a apartment, why do u ask ?
That’s the appeal of them though. They’re hamster sized therefore you can find space for them indoors. I would feel mean leaving them outside anyway considering the sortof climate they’re from. I don’t even like the idea of chickens getting cold out in cooler climates considering their natural habitat.I don't, but I have a few friends who keep button quail in their apartments! I have been offered some of the extra quail babies but I am not prepared to take on the responsibility for keeping such small birds safe from predators, so I am sticking to just chickens for now. They are so cute though, it is very tempting!
