It is safe to give Acv to baby chicks and ducklings. There was a recent respiratory infection breakout among my flock. So i want to give the baby chicks and ducklings something to boost their immunity. Would acv be safe for them both? What would be the dose?

Any other suggestion would be appreciated. :)

Dosing is 1 TBS per gallon of water and I use ACV in my chicks/ducklings water. They seem to really enjoy it and it keeps my waterers clean.
Thanks for replying.
I was really confused if i shoild give it to my baby ducks or not cause some sites stated that it is good while others said it is toxic.

I was also thinking of giving them some garlic. Is it safe for baby ducks?how much and how can i feed them?

How old are the Chicks and Ducklings and what symptoms do they have?

All 10 of them are of different ages actually. Some of them just sneeze a few times. Nothing else. This chick is only 2 days old. He sneezes sometimes but is otherwise eating and playing like usual.

Well then they are not sick at all. Sneezing is normal with new babies. Are You brooding both Ducks and Chicks together?

Yes......the ducklings who are a few weeks old now are kept with the chicks of same age. I keep the younger newly hatched chicks seperate.

There was recently a respiratory infection breakout among my flock. The little ones too started sneezing and that got me scared so wanted to give the younger ones something to boost their immunity. Thats when i read about Acv and garlic.

Respiratory infection can't be cured. Only the secondary infections can be. Antibiotics in water for birds. You can purchase a vitamin boost for Chicks but generally Not given to Ducklings because they don't catch the same things as chickens.

I just sprinkle garlic on their food. I wouldn't overdo it. Just a pinch or two will do.
