~April 17th Hatch~ Hatching Buddies Needed!!!

Today I set 12 scovy eggs to hatch in a bator, really hoping for a high hatch rate

. So whose gonna be my hatching buddies?

Awww.... I wish I was hatching april 17th tooo!

But mine are hatching March 17th!!!!

I am so excited, it is my first hatch.

Alright I will

but I candled the eggs last night and unfortunately it looks like most quit or were duds leaving me with 2 that I'm positive are still developing I could be wrong so I'm giving them a couple more days but I have a funny feeling that I'm gonna need to save me another dozen scovy eggs

Update: Im down to one sad little egg. Its still kicking and healthy though and im saving more scovie eggs plus some blue and splash silkie eggs as well. This is going to be A LONG 2 weeks of waiting.
PS I feel lonly so someone PLEASE tell me that your have eggs hatching on the 17th or a day close to it!!!

We are with you on the 17th. We made a homemade incubator for my son's science fair project. We have 12 eggs and I know there are 4 yolkers so far so that leaves 8 eggs to hatch. We candled last night and couldn't really see movement but the eggs are really full and dark shelled so not sure if they died or we just can't tell if they are moving or not. We have actually done a homemade incubator before and had 3 hatch out of 8 eggs. Anyway, good luck.

When you candled were you able to see veins at all? If you did they should be fine.
