April Broody Hatch Anyone?

I set 12 eggs under 2 hens, all from a breeder 30 minutes from me. They are/can be:

2- OEGB/ Modern Game crosses (from the color of the eggs, I am guessing)
2- Modern Game/ ? crosses (if they hatch I am giving them back to the breeder)
8- Modern Games (can be birchen, brown-red, lemon-blue, or silver-blue)


The oldest eggs I got from her were 2 days old, while the other half were collected that day.


I am so excited!

Anybody else?

Totally forgot that one of the roosters in with the hens that layed the eggs is a splash! Adding one more color .

My broody's eggs are going to start hatching on Friday (silkie or silkiexNHRxBO)

Oooooh lucky! I have to wait till late April. I hope all goes well!

I only candled the 1st week and of the 12 eggs she started with one wasn't fertile and one gave up. Then I have eggs in the incubator. I have no idea how many are in there (30 something?) 7 weren't fertile and two blood rings. This poor broody will find more chicks under her then she had eggs.

Well, I candled today. One of my hens ate one of the eggs, so we are down to 11. Of those, 5 have veins and 6 I couldn't tell. 1 is, I think, clear but another one has a dark mass inside it.
