I've been reading about a farm in Arkansas making this cross with good results . Has any one else tried this or heard of it , I already have these birds so I thought I would give it a try .

I don't think I will do it, but I imagine it would be delicious. I haven't heard of it either, but it makes sense. If you can appreciate the gamey taste, that would be a way of getting more of it.
There was a thread somewhere about the gamey taste and someone commented about having an americana, crossed with something else and ate it, without noticing anything different, but I read it and said, "of course not......its only 1/4 araucana." Good luck with it.

I had some americana roos that had great flavor! I liked them the most. I had one crossed with a BO as well, it tasted great!

I ate 2 americana roosters, a few weeks ago. They were very good. In my mind crossing an araucana with a cornish X would create an americana, just a huge one. One of the reasons for having americanas was to lessen the effects of the lethal gene, so american blood lines were introduced.....well there you go. They are just crossing it with something to feed you more.
