Are ALL African Geese really noisy all the time ?

They are pretty....but I did own a couple Chinese long ago and they Never Shut Up Are they the same? Anyone have any that are Normal as far as noise, alarm at strangers and feeding, greeting time?

Yes, they are noisy all the time

Especially if you hand raise them

Mine are pretty quiet until they get alarmed. then its LOUD.

Mine will carry on during the day and even into the night.

They do make good watch dogs but the sound can get on your nerves after awhile!

yeah, I figured, I have neighbors close enough it would be too much. I have my Tufted Buffs and they only make racket when i walk out to turn them out for the day...guess I will stay with quieter breeds...probably go with the Buffs I decided on orginally.

I have one african, she is noisy, but mostly if I'm out there. At night and during the day she is fairly quite. Maybe because her buddy (emden) is much quiter unless one of them sound the alarms. If I say the africans name she always honks back.
